What a treat…the “Vacuum and Sewing Dealers Trade Association” has just wrapped up their convention here in Las Vegas and we were able to play a small part.
HP Products is one of our favorite suppliers. Off all the high tech systems we do, their Dirt Devil and Vacuflo central vacuum products are some of the most innovative. One such product is called “Hide-a-Hose.” Is a picture worth a thousand words? I hope so…….I’m not a very fast typist!
Hide-a-Hose is so fantastic because it is easy and simple…..it seriously makes vacuuming fun! Why? The hoses are storred within your walls! On the contrary, the installation of this system isn’t so easy. There are many specific methods for the installation which must be followed carefully in order to produce a reliable and efficient system. Dealers must be certified before they are authorized for this unique system.
Thus, one of the seminars at the trade convention was the certification class for dealers on how to install this great product. That’s where we came in. We have been installing Hide-a-Hose for quite some time so Vacuflo arranged for a field trip training session to one of our job sites to conduct their training while watching us work on a real home under construction.
So….how many Home Systems Contractors does it take to install a Hide-a-Hose system? In this case…..a bus load!
We had a great time meeting people from around the country. But it was a bit intimidating having more than a dozen people watch you while you work.
